Bunjo Well E59/1212, ELA 59/1433

The Bunjo Well Project is just west of Yalgoo about 350 km northeast of Perth. One of the largest known deposits of molybdenum in Western Australia is the Mulgine Hill Deposit about 20km to the south of Bunjo Well. The project is largely covered by recent alluvium and laterite which was sampled by the CSIRO looking for mineral anomalies in laterite to encourage further exploration. A number of samples returned anomalous molybdenum values for this type of sampling.

Where there is outcrop, there are granitic rocks containing numerous quartz veins. This could indicate the type of alteration that is conducive to molybdenum mineralisation.

Exploration Programme

Eagle Nickel will carry out geochemical soil and laterite sampling together with geophysical surveys followed by targeted drilling of the project to locate the source of the anomalies for further bulk sampling.
