Tableland ELA80/3949

The Tableland Project is also favourable for the occurrence of unconformity type uranium deposits. While the rock types are different to the Mulkerins Gap Project, the same type of deposit can develop in this environment. Most of the radiometric anomalies fall along the Teronis Member which is overlain by a thick sequence of Warton Sandstone, which consists in a large part of white quartz rich sandstone. The Teronis Member contains intervals of limestone and dolomite which would form a reducing environment.

Major faults cross the area to form the structural setting for this type of deposit.

Exploration Programme

A close line spaced radiometric air survey will be fl own over the project area, followed by a ground based radiometric survey together with rock chip and soil sampling over all of the radiometric anomalies that are evident on the air survey. Stream samples will also be taken and checked for other mineral anomalies which may be located in the tenement.

Any radiometric anomalies that are derived from uranium will be drilled to determine their extent.
