Twin Swamps ELA38/2115
The Twin Swamps project is located about 250 km east of Wiluna in the Proterozoic Nabberu Basin on an up-domed area south of Lake Carnegie. An aeromagnetic survey over the Twin Swamps area also included a radiometric survey which is generally flown in conjunction with the magnetics in this type of survey. The magnetic survey did not show up any significant anomalies but the radiometric survey showed anomalous results over the western two pans.
Most of the previous exploration concentrated on diamond exploration due to the presence of diamond bearing intrusions to the north of this area. Uranium exploration in this setting would target uranium in calcrete either in lake bed sequences or paleo-channel deposits within the pans. Exploration Programme
A ground based radiometric survey will be carried out over the pans and adjacent areas, as well as surface sampling over the same area. Anomalous areas and potential paleo-channels will be drilled to determine the extent of any mineralisation present.
